The Vintage Flying Experience

With Conciair you can step back into this bygone era with the experience of open cockpit flying in our 1935 De-Havilland Tiger Moth or sample the 1948 De-Havilland Dove.

All our Flying Experiences commence from Goodwood Aerodrome, originally called RAF Westhampnett. You will depart on the same runway used during the height of the Battle of Britain, following the first footsteps of those great pilots. Or book our Normandy Tour, here you will track one of the invasion routes, a truly unique experience.

The Tiger Moth

There is nothing quite like it. The wind rushing through the bracing wires, the smell of warm oil and the thrill of flying in an open cockpit biplane.

This is flying how it was meant to be, simple, easy and most important of all, fun!

And there is no better aircraft from which to experience this than the De-Havilland Tiger Moth, the quintessential British biplane.

Evoking the sights and sounds of an era now long gone, Conciair offers you the chance to turn back time and enjoy the ultimate 1930's experience. Flying in a vintage open cockpit biplane is a unique experience, and one that you will remember for a very long time.

 

The De-Havilland Dove

Take the opportunity to fly in this classic De-Havilland aircraft. Designed and built at the end of WWII, it features all that was best in British Aircraft design and
manufacture.

The flight deck boasts an array of modern avionics including dual controls, advanced navigational instruments and much more.

The aircraft was built in Chester as a Devon C1 and delivered to RAF Hendon as VP981 on June 13 1946. In 1949 she was transferred to the Western Communications Flight at Melun-Villeroche, Fontainbleu France where she remained until 1966. She returned to the UK and was based at Andover, Hampshire, later to be transferred to 207 Squadron at Northolt. In 1985 she was assigned to BBMF again as a communications aircraft.
